City of Hope has announced that Alicia Keys and Sara Bareilles will perform a duet in honor of Epic Records chairman and CEO Sylvia Rhone during the 2019 Spirit of Life Gala.
A 15-time Grammy Award-winning artist, Keys has sold over 40 million records.
Meanwhile, Bareilles’ 2007 hit “Love Song” reached No. 1 in 22 countries.
Five-time Grammy Award winner Yolanda Adams will also perform at the event, which will take place on October 10 at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica.
“We are deeply grateful to these talented artists for lending their voices to support City of Hope’s delivery of the next generation of cancer and diabetes cures and care,” said Robert Stone, president and CEO of City of Hope.
City of Hope is an independent research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases.
Former U.S. attorney general Eric Holder will present Rhone with the Spirit of Life Award. She will be the first African-American woman to receive it.
