The Chase star Anne Hegerty, 62, said fronting Britain’s Brightest Family is “nice” because it’s all about her. On how it differs from The Chase, she said the producer checks if she’s OK before filming and said that doesn’t happen on the afternoon show.
She went on to say timetables for filming can vary on The Chase, depending on host Bradley Walsh’s schedule.
The Governess star added: “On The Chase it’s just, ‘Can you come in half an hour early, please? Bradley’s got a thing at the other end of the day.’
“It’s nice not to be on other people’s timetable.
“But I think I’m quite good at not being a diva because I’ve seen so many people be difficult,” she added to The Metro.
Anne has been a quizzer on the UK version of the show – which also features Mark Labbett, Jenny Ryan, Darragh Ellis, Shaun Wallace and Paul Sinha – since 2010.
She is also a part of the Australian programme, where she is currently filming.
Despite not being a fan of his timetable, Anne recently credited Bradley for helping her present her show.
She told Express.co.uk and press: “I always say the thing about Britain’s Brightest Celebrity Family, I’ve been watching the master at work for years.
“Anything that I get right on there is because I’ve been watching how he does it.
“Right from the start he’s always been so nice to us and so generous and encouraging.”
The quizmaster added that while the host didn’t give her tips directly ahead of her show debut, he did congratulate her.
Anne has been fronting her family show since 2018.

She has since gone on to take part in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and a road trip series with fellow chasers Shaun Wallace and Mark Labbett.
The Chase star recently said Mark was keen to have his own show, like her and Paul.
When quizzed on rivalry between the chasers, she said: “I think that Mark, The Beast would really like to present a game show.
“And I keep saying to him, ‘Look it will happen, I know it will’.
“But he just hasn’t yet found the right one.
“Virtually all of us have got some sort of side project of some kind, which is nice.”
Britain’s Brightest Celebrity Family continues tonight on Thursday at 8.30pm on ITV.
The Chase airs weekdays from 5pm on ITV.
