Danny Miller triumphs over Snoochie Shy in I'm A Celeb eating trial

I’m A Celeb 2021: ‘I’m nearly crying listening to the gagging!’ The dreaded eating challenge returns as Danny Miller triumphs over Snoochie Shy after tucking into cow’s teat, pigs BRAIN and fermented tofu

On Monday, just 24 hours after the ten new Gwrych Castle residents embarked on their I’m A Celebrity journey, the dreaded eating challenge returned – this year branded The Castle’s Dreaded Diner.

The gruelling trial saw Danny Miller triumph over Snoochie Shy after he tucked into cow’s teat, pigs brain and fermented tofu.

In the tiebreak, it was the latter culinary horror that the Emmerdale star, 30, and the DJ, 29, had to down the quickest in order to win food for their camp.

During the fan-favourite trial, Snoochie was less than impressed when she was forced to eat a Sneeze Burger, which hosts Ant and Dec informed her was cow’s nose.

Once the lid was removed from her burger, Snoochie launched in the air in horror, saying: ‘What the hell oh my god’, with Ant declaring: ‘It’s called a sneeze burger’.

She then became hysterical and revealed to the duo that she was crying after which Ant said: ‘Take the bun off and I’ll tell you [what it is]. It’s cow’s nose’.

Tough: Unfortunately for Snoochie, she also drew the short straw of having to tuck into a ‘meal deal’ following a wheel spin, something which Danny narrowly avoided

Battling it out: Danny admitted prior to the trial he was ‘terrified’

Dec then said: ‘If you’ve just tuned in, I suggest you turn back over again’.

Unfortunately for Snoochie, she also drew the short straw of having to tuck into a ‘meal deal’ following a wheel spin, something which Danny narrowly avoided.

This comprised of raw fish eye, vomit fruit and blended pig’s uterus.

Despite her loss, she credited her opponent, saying: ‘I’ve had a good time, but I can’t lie, I’ve had better. I’m happy for Danny though, it means The Clink (Danny, David Ginola, Arlene Phillips, Richard Madeley and Naughty Boy) will eat, they need food.’

Victorious, Danny beamed: ‘I can’t wait to get back to the camp and tell everyone they’re going to be eating tonight because this smile on my face will be there all night.’

Happy news: Victorious, Danny beamed: ‘I can’t wait to get back to the camp and tell everyone they’re going to be eating tonight because this smile on my face will be there all night.’

However, it wasn’t the same response for Snoochie, who got teary thinking about the trial when she returned to her campmates. She was comforted by Louise Minchin and Frankie Bridge, who make up the other team with Matty Lee.

The first night in the castle grounds witnessed the campmates in the Clink – the all-new jungle jail – having to adapt to not only new sleeping arrangements, a basic diet and the cold depths of the fortress – but David Ginola’s relentless snoring.

Naughty Boy joked: ‘There’s a lot of snoring, but not from everyone. David is a legend. But he also snores like a legend!’

However the DJ’s concerns were soon put to one side when he spoke in the Telegraph about his encounter with robin.

‘I can honestly say, first night in The Clink, I woke up traumatised. But I had no one to blame but myself. I was even questioning, should I be here? A robin flew in. I felt something.

‘That robin’s here to see me. We chilled for a bit. Yeah, I was thinking that robin came with a message and all that message is is everything’s going to be OK.’

Noisy: The first 24 hours in their new surroundings saw the campmates in the Clink – the all-new jungle jail – having to adapt to not only new sleeping arrangements, a basic diet and the cold depths of the fortress – but David Ginola’s relentless snoring

Soft spot: Elsewhere, yet another crush on Frenchman David was revealed, with Dame Arlene Phillips gushing: ‘Whatever he does, it’s so strong – and he’s so beautiful!’

Elsewhere, yet another crush on Frenchman David was revealed, with Dame Arlene Phillips gushing: ‘Whatever he does, it’s so strong – and he’s so beautiful. And he does it all with this very calm, quiet, centred way. It’s a great visual, I’m quite enjoying it!’

Over in the other main camp, Matty Lee, – the only male on a team with Frankie Bridge, Kadeena Cox, Louise Minchin and Snoochie Shy, joked: ‘I’m in a room full of girls. Usually that would be the dream. But in this… it’s not that sort of thing. It’s weird. I feel outnumbered.’

Athlete Kadeena said: ‘Waking up in the Castle is so crazy. It still doesn’t feel like it’s real, but it’s so amazing to wake up with the weirdest surroundings, but the coolest people around you.’

Outnumbered: Over in the other main camp, Matty Lee – the only male on a team with Frankie Bridge, Kadeena Cox, Louise Minchin and Snoochie Shy, joked: ‘I’m in a room full of girls. Usually that would be the dream!’

Adapting: Athlete Kadeena said: ‘Waking up in the Castle is so crazy. It still doesn’t feel like it’s real, but it’s so amazing to wake up with the weirdest surroundings, but the coolest people around you’

The celebs were asked to twerk around the fire, as seen by viewers on Monday evening.

Snoochie laughed and said: ‘Matty’s twerk, he did give a lot to it. But it was giving me more chicken. And I prefer to eat chicken, than twerk like a chicken.’

Things took a moving turn when David Ginola detailed during Monday night’s instalment how he ‘passed away for 12 minutes’ after having a heart attack in 2017.

Poignant: Speaking in the Telegraph, Richard Madeley drew on the close bonds the campmates had quickly formed

Ordeal: The French sports star, 54, explained: ‘The surgeon said, “You’ve been very lucky David, it’s a miracle. In your condition 9 out of 10 would have died”‘

The French sports star, 54, was reeling off his exercise regime to Arlene when Naughty Boy asked about the ordeal, which occurred during a charity match four years ago.

Naughty Boy asked: ‘Is that true about something that happened to you? You died and came back?’

‘I passed away for 12 minutes,’ David said, to which Naughty Boy replied, ‘I didn’t think that was possible.’

The former Spurs and Newcastle footballer explained in full: ‘Just playing football and at one stage you just fall on the floor. So they have to perform CPR for 12 minutes and they arrive with the defibrillator and they shocked me one time, two times, three times…

‘They said, “I think your friend is dead.” A fourth, fifth time… the fifth time, a heartbeat. The surgeon said, “You’ve been very lucky David, it’s a miracle. In your condition 9 out of 10 would have died.”‘

Speaking in the Telegraph, Richard Madeley drew on the close bonds the campmates had quickly formed.

‘Here’s a good example of how quickly we’ve become very, very close in here and very open with each other. Now that is a big story to tell. You don’t ask somebody lightly to talk about that,’ the presenter said.
