Megan Fox says Hollywood is not very mom-friendly.
The “Transformers” actress shared her experiences raising children in the entertainment industry, calling it “unforgiving” and “like having a handicap.”
“Hollywood is not adapted to women and us actually having lives and being moms,” she said on Thursday’s episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
She shares three sons with her ex-husband actor Brian Austin Green: Noah, 8, Bodhi, 7, and Journey, 4.

“As an actor it’s just very unforgiving because you can’t be on camera once you’re past a certain stage of pregnancy,” she said.
The “New Girl” actress saidthe culture of Hollywood can also be stressful and can create pressure to go back to work after delivering a baby.
“There is that thing in this industry of like ‘Are you giving up? Are you just a mom now?’ ” Fox said. “There’s this weird pressure which also then creates guilt. You go to work too soon to satisfy those people.”
Fox said she doesn’t have an answer on how to fix the inability for Hollywood to adapt but thinks it could change as more women rise to positions of power in the industry.
“It’s been a patriarchy for so long that the power has been in the hands of people who don’t understand and haven’t been made to understand. It makes sense that it’s played out this way,” she added.
The working mom’s upcoming thriller “Till Death,” starring Callan Mulvey as Fox’s character Emma tries to escape a murder plot, is expected to release this summer.
The actress has also added music videos into her portfolio after starring in boyfriend Machine Gun Kelly’s “Bloody Valentine” video a year ago. Fox filed for divorce from Green after 10 years of marriage in November, days after making her relationship with musician Kelly red-carpet official at the 2020 American Music Awards.
