Jameela Jamil Went IN After Amber Rose Promoted a "Detox Tea" for Pregnant Women

If a celebrity posts a “detox” tea ad and Jameela Jamil doesn’t call them out for it, did it even happen? Honestly, IDK, but The Good Place actress isn’t slowing down anytime soon when it comes to exposing these glorified laxatives, and that’s exactly what she did when she saw Amber Rose promote a Flat Tummy product.

Yesterday, Amber drew her followers’ attention to the company’s new product aimed at pregnant people. (Amber is currently pregnant, BTW.) She said it’s intended to help them with those “bloated, nauseous, blah feeling days” and said it’s not a detox tea. And toward the end of the post, she tried to stop the hate before it happened and told people to “stop riding the bandwagon and think for yourselves.”

When people saw her post, they immediately called Amber out and told her, “That bloating is called a baby.” Jameela also jumped in to encourage her followers to not buy into these products and ads. She wrote, “FLAT TUMMY PRODUCTS FOR… PREGNANT WOMEN? Is this FDA approved? Are we… f*cking… KIDDING?” and she tagged the Food and Drug Administration for good measure. Very thorough!

Then, Jameela followed up her initial reaction with this gem: “So many women, with such big platforms, promoting such irresponsible f*cksh*t, that it blows my mind.”

For those who haven’t looked into these teas, many of them feature herbal laxatives as the first ingredient. Also, the FDA reportedly doesn’t monitor these powders, tablets, capsules, or supplements, so there’s no way to really know if the ingredients listed are legit.

So, it’s safer to heed Jameela’s advice and always check with a doc before trying them!
