Jane Seymour, 70, has shared that she still weighs the same now as she did at age 17 due to a rigorous workout regime and healthy diet. The former Bond girl only eats one meal a day which she sometimes savours with a glass of wine or a square of dark chocolate.

I’m never on a diet

Jane has turned 70 today and admitted she keeps “fit and healthy” by never being on a diet.

The star instead indulges in moderation and has her main meal at around 2pm.

Opening up on her daily routine amid the pandemic, Jane told the Loose Women panel: “I am staying home, I’m doing all the right things I’m masked up and not gallivanting around in Hollywood or anything.”

“I take walks on the beach, I do pilates… I try to keep fit and I try to eat healthily but I’m never on a diet or anything. Everything in moderation, it works for me.”

Discussing only eating one meal a day, Jane said: “That’s been a really good trick, cup of coffee first thing in the morning.

“Usually, I’m up and running like now, then I usually forget to eat until midday. My partner David is doing this intermittent fasting so he doesn’t eat until 2pm.”

Jane is dating David Green who she first met 40 years ago, before striking up a romantic relationship later down the line.

She continued: “If I get peckish later I will eat a bit of dark chocolate and a glass of wine, that’s a meal right?”

The actress admitted she weighs the same as she did as a teenager at ballet school.

She added: “I feel like I am letting everything go, it’s being comfortable in your own skin I weigh the same now as I did in ballet school when I was 17.

“I have been hanging out on Zoom with my old classmates, we all look the same really, it must be the education.”

Jane divulged her granddaughters now enjoy trying on the clothes out of her wardrobe.

She said: “One of them she’s very tall and she keeps going in my closet, she found that and really rocked it, she goes and tries the ball gowns on.”

The actress avoids having cosmetic enhancements to prevent her face from being able to “move” while undertaking roles.

She told Daily Mail: ‘I’m not Botoxed or fillered because an actress’s face has to move. I’ve had no plastic surgery to speak of and I’m still the same weight I was when I was 15.

“I still feel sexy. What also gives you a glow at my age is being as healthy as possible and being comfortable in your own skin, instead of obsessing about the passage of time.”

“I feel like I’m in my prime as far as acting is concerned. I’ve been incredibly busy despite the pandemic.

“My agent said to me earlier this year, ‘Do you realise you’re the only person in my entire agency working right now?’”

Jane starred as a Bond girl in the 1937 film Live And Let Die alongside Roger Moore.

She has since appeared in TV shows including Smallville and Modern Men.
