Janette Manrara discusses moving plans with Aljaz Skorjanec
Yesterday morning Strictly Come Dancing’s Janette Manrara, 37, stepped in for Morning Live host Kym Marsh, 44, as she continued to recover following a hernia operation. The dance pro spoke candidly to co-host Gethin Jones, 42, about her family’s future plans, which include a move to the countryside.
We are getting to that point where we want to move out into the country
Speaking to Wanted: A Simple Life host, Chris Bavin, about the possible move, Janette opened up and revealed her and husband, Aljaz Skorjanec’s, 30, thoughts.
The show follows people who want to escape city life and start living in the country.
She said: “Aljaž grew up in Slovenia, which is very, very country – I grew up in Miami and lived in LA, so I’ve always been a city girl.
“But I think we are getting to that point where we want to move out into the country.”

Chris was quick to suggest that the couple find a home that isn’t too far from a city, adding that the idea of living in the country is often romanticised.
Janette agreed with the expert and reassured him that they would be taking a practical approach.
“Aljaž and I are so guilty of that, we spend so much time falling in love with homes then we have to put them back away,” she went on.
The night before her Morning Live debut, Janette took to Instagram for some much needed advice.
Janette told her 433,000 followers on Wednesday: “I’m really excited because tomorrow I will be joining Gethin on BBC Morning Live, we’re going to be working out and it’ll be a great show.
“I can’t wait to be sitting next to him and get you all working out with us, make sure you tune in, I can’t wait.”
She continued: “Now how do you go to bed early when you know you’ve got to be up at the crack of dawn? That’s the question.”
Gethin shared Janette’s post on his Instagram page, and added: “It’s gonna be lovely having the Latin sensation on the swivel chair! See you @ 9.15!”

Janette had previously spoken of her concerns about starting a family with Aljaz.
Speaking to Hello! Magazine, she said: “It’s very scary being a dancer, my body is my tool, it’s what I use.
“Aljaz and I, we dance and work and do everything together so if you think about it, when I fall pregnant, that’s 50 per cent of the team gone!”
Despite her worries, the dance pro says her and Aljaz are ready for parenthood: “We’re definitely ready to be parents so we will see when that moment comes – you can’t plan it.”
The Strictly couple have been fan favourites on the show for years and have been together for more than a decade.
Despite being married for three years, the pair were forced to live apart during the latest series which saw dancers and contestants forming their own bubbles.
Speaking about being reunited, Janette said: “I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this publicly, put it that way!
“Let’s just say we won’t mind being in a lockdown, I’ll tell you that. It’s been a tough year in many ways but we’ll make up for it!”
