The Chase: Mark Labbett shocked at contestant's Meatloaf error
Mark Labbett, 55, is known for his vast knowledge since he made his show debut on The Chase in 2009. The ITV favourite took to Twitter and corrected an independent fan site after it was claimed his co-star Anne Hegerty, 62, had secured the most wins on the programme.
In view of his 133,800 Twitter followers, Mark took the opportunity to respond as he confirmed he achieved the most wins worldwide.
It comes after the statistics fan page penned: “Anne is the first chaser to win 300 episodes on the show #TheChase.”
Mark replied: “I achieved that worldwide a while back.”
The account then clarified that if they included The Chase overseas both Mark and Anne would have secured the same number of wins.

They penned: “If we include The Chase Australia, and The Chase USA for Mark, both Anne and Mark have over 400 wins.”
The quizmaster is a regular fixture on the ITV show alongside his co-stars Anne, Paul Sinha, Jenny Ryan, Shaun Wallace and Darragh Ennis.
Mark has also appeared as the sole chaser in the American version in 2013 and subsequently as one of six chasers in the Australian show in 2016.
Elsewhere, the ITV favourite stunned his followers after he showcased his incredible weight loss.
Mark shared a snap of himself making a face at the camera.
He added dark make-up underneath his eyes and captioned the post: “Terrible at Panto makeup… #hesbehindyou.”
Fans of The Chase flocked to comment on the post, as many gushed over Mark’s slimmed-down features.
One person said: “Younger looking and you’ve lost weight. Well done. Looking good – not that you didn’t before.”

While a third person remarked: “You look great, what’s your secret?”
Earlier this year, Mark opened up about his weight loss after shedding an impressive five-stone.
He was seen holding onto his trousers, which were no longer his size, in a mirror selfie.
The quizzer wrote: “Lost a bit of waistline, still a long way to go 🙂 #skinnybeast #doubletwoshirts.”
He said: “I’d like the moment I walk across the bridge four stone lighter. I’ve still got a fair way to go.
“My target is about 19 stone. For anyone else that’s monstrous, but for me of course I’ll be skinny,” Mark added to The Sun.
The Chaser also explained he believed he had coronavirus back in February after he “didn’t eat” for two weeks.
The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm.
