Love Island star Montana Brown has discussed suffering anxiety and not knowing "how to handle it" in a heartfelt Instagram post.
Sharing two photos of herself – one in hiking gear and looking away from the camera and another in a bikini – the 26 year old reflected on how she felt when the snaps were taken.
She wrote: "Trigger warning: transformation Tuesday time… I was looking back at old pictures of myself and I cannot believe my weight.
"My anxiety was so bad and I did not know how to handle it, it was always in my stomach so I completely lost my appetite when I was struggling mentally.
" It makes me so sad to look back at pictures as I didn’t quite realise how bad it was.
The former Love Island star added that she "knew I wasn’t eating and I knew I wasn’t coping", before continuing: "But I would put a baggy jumper on so I didn’t have to see it.
"I didn’t feel attractive or good about my body but my mind was in a bad spot. I now reflect on these times and feel gratitude that I’ve moved forward mentally and physically."
Montana carried on to say that she felt "blessed" for going through hard times. She explained: "I am feeling blessed for going through it because it has made me more self aware and it made me spend time on the self work which we all could do more of."
The reality star continued: "I’m happy and feeling blessed with where I am at with my relationship with myself and I wanted to share that with you all if you’re feeling a similar way, that you don’t like the way your body looks in the mirror for whatever reason, then show yourself some love and prioritise the relationship with yourself as it’s the most important."
Fans and friends reacted to Montana's post with love. One said: "Thank you so much for sharing this. If only you knew how impactful today of all days it was to see this on my TL."
Another wrote: "You’re such an inspiring, strong woman."
It's not the first time Montana has opened up about her body, with the star recently discussing decisions she made about her body in her teens.
The Love Island star, who previously revealed secrets from the show, took to her Instagram feed to share a split picture of her teenage self at 18, with another snap from a few months later.
The 25 year old wrote: "Looking back at some old pictures makes me quite sad, in the photo on the left, I was in Zante living my best life as an 18 year old, and on the right was just a few months later being on a juice diet and taking fat burner pills from some dodgy website…
"I don't know why I felt the pressure to lose weight but I was willing to do anything at that point to be slimmer.
"I was ordering these pills to help me lose weight and hiding them from my mum exercising a lot. Too much pressure for a teenager that's for sure."
The brunette beauty went on to explain that she was much happier when she wasn't worrying about her weight.
She continued: "Was way happier being in Zante, eating Subways and being with friends not worrying about my weight!
"I didn't appreciate my big boobs when I should've," Montana concluded, along with a crying with tears emoji.
