The first leg of pop superstar Ariana Grande‘s “Sweetener World Tour” has earned a total of $78.8 million, surpassing both her “Dangerous Woman Tour” in 2017 ($33.2 million) and 2015’s “Honeymoon Tour” ($22.8 million) combined.
Grande sold 659,842 tickets in 2019, according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore.
Having wrapped up the first, North American leg of the tour on August 4 at Grant Park, Chicago, the 26-year-old star is headed to the O2 Arena in London to kick off the 30-date European leg of the tour on Saturday, August 16, where she is expected to earn another $42.5-$45 million in revenue.
With more U.S and Canada dates tacked onto the last leg of the tour beginning in early November, the tour might just surpass $150 million by the end of the year.
