Olly Murs has completed a charity mountain trek and named a mountain peak after his late friend Caroline Flack.
The pop star climbed 24 mountain peaks in 24 hours across the Lake District in honour of his friend Caroline, who died in February 2020.
Caroline took her own life at the age of 40 years old.
Close friend Olly Murs trekked over the mountains alongside Caroline’s best friend Mollie Grosberg to raise money for mental health charity Samaritans.
Other loved ones joined the charity mountain trek with Olly, as he documented the “special day” for his social media followers.
Olly posted several pictures to his Instagram to share with fans and well-wishers.
The first picture shared was of Olly wearing a white climb for Caroline T-shirt and flexing his muscles in hiking gear.
The next picture showed Olly on top of a mountain with five others, grinning into a camera.
The final snap showed a group of people holding a banner that read “Climb for Caroline” as they stood on top of a mountain peak.
The heart skips a beat singer captioned the sweet snaps: “DAY 1 COMPLETED [tick emoji] On our Climb for Caroline! Was super tough but we smashed it together! This pic was clearly taken at the start [laugh emoji] for anyone who is wondering we did 7 PEAKS SO FAR – ROSSETT PIKE, ALLEN GRAGS, ILL GRAG, SCAFELL PIKE, BROAD CRAG, ESK PIKE AND BOW FELL.”

Olly later shared a second post on Sunday, after the group had completed their impressive feat and climbed 24 mountains.
The first snap shared showed a rock with “Flack Peak” written on it in red paint, followed by a picture of the team lying down and smiling on top of the peak.
Olly captioned these pictures: “New peak at the Lake District! This one had no name, so we called it the “Flack Peak” [heart and crying emojis] this was a Special weekend with Special people, doing something for a very Special person! Thanks for all the messages of support and the donations xx [heart emojis].”
So far the JustGiving page has earned over £21,000 for Climb for Caroline.
Caroline tragically died the day after she found out that the Crown Prosecution Service would send her to trial for allegedly assaulting boyfriend Lewis Burton in December 2019.
