Rihanna proved once again that she can pull off a daring look at this year’s Fashion Awards.
The singer, businesswoman and, of course, fashion icon arrived at the red carpet to the 2019 awards as a vision in mint green.
Pairing a mint green satin dress with a mesh mint jacket that she wore around her shoulders, a huge diamond choker and a shiny pair of heels, the look could have been ‘too much’, but this is Rihanna so it obviously worked just fine.
There were matching gloves too, just in case you hadn’t seen enough of the shade already.
RiRi turned up to the ceremony alongside A$AP Rocky, who opted for a more simple look.
The 31-year-old rapper wore an oversized black blazer over a plain black shirt, baggy black trousers and converse, so it was definitely Rihanna who stole the show.
Rihanna has been crazy busy this year, trying to balance her various businesses, including Fenty Beauty, her friendships and three-year relationship with boyfriend Hassan Jameel.
Apologising on Instagram for her over-packed schedule, the Work singer wrote: ‘To all my friends/family/coworkers who I have yet to get back to in the past months…please forgive me.’
‘This year has been quite an overwhelming one, and I’m working on that ish called Balance. Brb. [sic].’
Fans are also still waiting for her elusive ninth studio album, but she has given some hints on what musical direction we could expect her to take.
Speaking to Vogue recently, the singer said: ‘It’s not gonna be typical of what you know as reggae. But you’re going to feel the elements in all of the tracks.’
The 31-year-old continued: ‘Reggae always feels right to me. It’s in my blood. It doesn’t matter how far or long removed I am from that culture, or my environment that I grew up in; it never leaves.’
