Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha has said she won’t be godmother to Stacey Solomon’s new baby. This comes amid fans mistakenly thinking she had jumped the gun when announcing the latter’s news.

Stacey shared earlier this week how her baby girl had been born.

In an emotional update, the star posted on social media how she had given birth on her birthday.

She penned: “She’s Here Born at Pickle Cottage on mummy’s birthday.

“Our little girl… Happy birthday my darling daughter…

“We all love you more than you could ever imagine.”

The baby, who Stacey shares with fiancé Joe Swash, has not yet been named but fans are eagerly awaiting any news.

Reacting to this, Nadia shared a thoughtful Instagram post to her Loose Women co-star.

She penned: “Awwwwww… she’s here !!! Congratulations @staceysolomon and @realjoeswashy!!

“The baby girl you both longed for is in your arms! And on your birthday too Stace!!

“Thrilled to bits for you all! Can’t wait for a snuggle and a sniff of that milky neck!!! Big hugs and kisses to you your boys, and now your DAUGHTER TOO!(sic)

“Welcome to the world little one.”

However, some fans were left disappointed as they saw Nadia’s post before Stacey’s.

Several followers pointed out how they’d hope to hear it from her first.

User suzy_dee21 wrote: “Wow would of been nice to hear that from her???!!!!!!”(sic)

While denise_at_holly_cottage added: “Stacey’s job to announce it surely?”

Lorraine.nulty penned: “Aww she’s not announced it herself yet.”

Others did point out how Nadia’s post came after Stacey shared the news on her stories.

The former has also shared how she’s excited to meet the baby.

However, she did point out that she will not be the new baby’s godmother.

Speaking to The Sun at Tulleys Shocktober Fest on Friday, she said: “Oh no, I won’t be a godparent.

“But I will be seeing that baby very, very soon.

“We all saw Rex when he was new so I’m hoping that within the first week I get a snuggle.”
