Towie star and Sugar Hut owner Mick Norcross dies as tributes pour in

Towie star Mick Norcross has died, with tributes from friends, fans and co-stars pouring in.

It’s reported Mick died at his home in Brentwood, Essex, aged 57.

Essex Police told in a statement: ‘We were called to an address in Brentwood Road, Bulphan shortly before 3.15pm on Thursday 21 January.

‘Sadly, a man inside was pronounced dead. His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.’

News of Mick’s death has been circulating on social media, with his former co-star Mario Falcone paying tribute.

Mario shared a final tweet Mick had posted to Twitter and told fans he was ‘shocked and heartbroken’ over his friend’s death.

Elliott Wright, who had also starred on Towie over the course of seven years, left a broken heart in response to Mick’s tweet, as did Ex On The Beach star Jess Impiazzi.

Mick’s friend and boxing promoter Eddie Hearn tweeted: ‘A gentleman – god bless.’

Mick, who was father to Kirk Norcross, was best known for being the owner of famous Essex night club The Sugar Hut, which regularly featured on the programme as a shooting location.

He featured on 53 episodes of Towie between 2011 and 2013, appearing on the show from season two up until season eight.
