Avengers: Endgame provided the epic conclusion to the Avengers saga last summer, bringing the whole gang back together in their final battle against Thanos (played by Josh Brolin). Ultimately, Marvel’s superheroes managed to go back in time to collect the Infinity Stones before the Mad Titan could get his hands on them.
In a somewhat surprising move, Thanos was actually killed toward the start of the movie when Thor (Chris Hemsworth) used Stormbreaker to decapitate him after they tracked him down following the Snap.
But, of course, that wasn’t the end of the villain.
Once the Avengers had gathered the Infinity Stones from various points in the past, an earlier version of Thanos realised what was afoot.
Travelling forwards to the present time, he arrived on Earth with a huge army ready to face the Avengers.

It was Iron Man (Robert Downy Jr) who ended up sacrificing himself in order to dust Thanos out of existence, subsequently dying surrounded by his friends and Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow).
Though the dramatic finale was packed full of ups and downs, there’s one small detail many fans might have missed earlier in the film.
After beheading Thanos, Thor struggles with his grief at having lost so many of his companions in the Snap and descends into depression, binge eating and drinking and shutting himself away from his fellow Asgardians, who are now residing in New Asgard.
Instead of ruling Asgard as he is supposed to be doing, the God of Thunder hides in his cottage with pals Korg (Taika Waitititi) and Miek (Samuel Vincent), boozing and playing video games.
It’s during the scene when Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Rocket (Bradley Cooper) pay him a visit to try and get him to return to the New Avengers Facility and help them save the universe that a bizarre Easter egg can be spotted.
One shot, shared by a Reddit user, shows an overweight Thor reaching for another beer, a bottle of Irn-Bru visible in the background.
The scenes in New Asgard were filmed in Scotland, the home of Irn-Bru.
“While Hulk and Rocket visit Thor at New Asgard in Avengers Endgame a bottle of Iron Bro (Scotland national drink) can be seen in the background,” the Reddit user noted.

When Endgame was first released last year, Scottish Twitter went wild for the hilarious cameo, with one Marvel fan tweeting: “The only spoiler I have to share from Avengers Endgame is that there was a bottle of Irn-Bru in one scene.”
“Mental how there’s a bottle of Irn-Bru just cutting about in the new Avengers film,” another added, while a third called the nod to the filming location the “best cameo” in the movie.
Endgame has grossed over $2.7 billion worldwide.
Meanwhile, another Avengers: Endgame gaffe can also be spied in the dramatic final battle when Iron Man confronts Thanos.
Another Reddit user pointed out a continuity error in Downey Jr’s makeup during the scene, with side-by-side shots showing his moustache looking significantly neater and darker from one moment to the next.
The blunder is probably due to reshoots, Endgame directors the Russo brothers having previously revealed the actor had to return to reshoot some elements of his last scenes as Iron Man.
In fact, the character’s final words (“I am Iron Man”) were only filmed in January 2019, just months before the film’s release.
Joe and Anthony Russo said Downey Jr had been reluctant to return to say goodbye to his beloved character for a second time and had to be “talked into it”.
