Carol Vorderman, 61, slips into skintight leather trousers to mark her birthday

Carol Vorderman left no curve uncovered as she took to Instagram to mark her birthday.

The TV star who is named after the festive hymn turned 61 this Christmas Eve, and she certainly proved to her adoring admirers that age is just a number.

Squeezing her dynamite curves into a skintight pair of black leather trousers, the Countdown star demanded attention.

She teamed her biker-chic look with an oversized belt and a baggy designer Guess jumper.

The superbrain, couldn't settle on just one snap, so instead took to her story with an army of images which would have no doubt delighted her 194,000 followers.

In a side-on image, Carol showcased her pert derrière, adding: "Happy birthday to me," followed by two love hearts.

Turning to face the mirror, she penned across another pic: "Bring it on," before taking an up close photo of herself with the caption: "Innocent look… What? Me?"

Over the past year, the TV starlet has seemingly enjoyed spending a lot of time in her own company.

She had taken on new challenges, such as paddle-boarding and even moved home in the last few weeks.

Back in January of this year, Carol explained that she was more than happy being single forever – and even explained that sharing life with someone made her feel "positively sick".

At the time, Carol told The Telegraph that she was in no way searching for love again after two failed marriages.

She said: "The thought of sharing my life with someone again makes me feel positively sick.

"I have a ridiculously happy and absurd life. I’m a very successful businesswoman, I’m a hugely successful author who has sold more children's education books over 25 years than anyone in UK history – but I suppose that isn't celebrity-worthy.

"I can do a million things on social media about being a pilot, but as soon as I put up a photo [of me] with a tight outfit on, that’s the one that gets the publicity. Therefore the public only see one side of me."

Carol married Royal Navy Officer Christopher Mather in 1985 but their relationship ended just 12 months later.

In 1990, she tied the knot with Patrick King – the father of her two children – but that also ended in divorce in 2000.

The TV icon has previously spoken about her regrets in divorcing Patrick and vowed never to speak about her reasons.
