On the freaky track, which appears on the British superstar’s third album ‘Harry’s House’ that arrived in mid-May, he croons about making sushi while relating it to his desire for romance.
AceShowbiz –Harry Styles really went all out in “Music for a Sushi” visuals. In the music video released on Thursday, October 27, the former member of One Direction transforms into a bizarre, bearded human-squid.
In the fish-themed clip, the English heartthrob has a tentacled tail. He is found by a group of people who run a sushi restaurant. While he initially thought he would end up as the main course, he becomes a performer in the eatery.
On the freaky track, Harry croons about making sushi while relating it to his desire for romance. “Green eyes, fried rice, I could cook an egg on you/ Late night, game time, coffee on the stove, yeah,” he sings. “You’re sweet ice cream, but you could use a Flake or two/ Blue bubblegum twisted ’round your tongue.”
Harry once opened up about the story behind “Music for a Sushi Restaurant”. When speaking to NPR in May, he recalled, “I was in a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles with my producer and one of our songs came on from the last album, and I kind of said, like, ‘This is really strange music for a sushi restaurant.’ “
“I was like, that would be a really fun album title, but then as the song started being made I kind of just set on ‘Music for a Sushi Restaurant’,” the “Don’t Worry Darling” actor further explained.
The song appears on Harry’s third studio album, “Harry’s House”. The project was first announced in March, before it was dropped on May 20. It consists of 13 tracks, including the hit “As It Was”. With the tune, the superstar broke a Guinness World Record for “most streamed track on Spotify in 24 hours (male)” dated April 1.
