Inside Ben Shephard’s family life with wife and two teenage sons

Ben Shephard has become a viewers favourite on Good Morning Britain with Susanna Reid..

What is not well known is off-screen Ben is a devout family man who shares two teenage sons, Sam, aged 15, and his brother Jack, 13, with his wife Annie who he has been with for 26 years and married in 2004.

But what is known about the presenter and his family?

Ben likes to keep his family life private but has given glimpses into it on his Instagram profile – meanwhile Annie's is kept on its private setting,

Ben and Annie, who runs the blog The House Editor, met at the University of Birmingham while she was studying Philosophy.

In her career she has worked for a variety of fashion and interior magazines such as House and Garden, Glamour, Elle Deco, Elle and Red.

On Annie's website she writes: "For the last 15 years I’ve been raising our boys, knocking down and remodelling houses, building gardens out of mud-pits and running interiors projects.

"I've studied hard and taken excellent courses, so I’ve learned both the theory of design and I’ve also learned the hard way, by creating from the ground up, wellies on and spade in hand.

"After a few mistakes and a few more successes, my friends started to ask for help with their own interiors and gardens."

Ben spoke about how proud he was of his sons during a segment on Good Morning Britain.

He said: "I've got so much admiration for how they've gone about it. They've kept their spirits up, got on brilliantly, we've had a really good laugh.

"Sam's really embraced his own health and fitness, as well, which as you can imagine is something I'm really proud of."

Ben discussed his marriage on Kate Thornton's podcast White Wine Question Time.

He said: "We met at university and I was sort of a mere puppy when it came to the world of broadcasting media.

"She has been through all this with me – the highs and the lows of all that experience. And she is still here, somehow, still putting up with me to this day."

He also took to Instagram to joke about how the pandemic was putting a strain on their relationship.

He said: "It’s fair to say the current climate is seriously testing the strength of her feelings towards me, as for me I still can’t quite believe my luck,

On Valentine's Day this Ben made a bespoke cocktail for Annie with the help of mixologist Ben Reed.

He then shared how he made the exciting drink social media.
