Matthew McConaughey has lifted the lid about the death of his father James, revealing he passed away while romping.
Matthew, 50, has opened up about the unusual way to go in his forthcoming book, Greenlights, which will give details about his childhood.
The actors gave details about the tragic moment he found out his dad James had died.
In an exert shared in People Magazine, he wrote: "I got a call from my Mom. 'Your dad died.' My knees buckled. I couldn’t believe it.
"He was my dad. Nobody or nothing could kill him. Except mom.
"He'd always told me and my brothers, 'Boys, when I go, I’m gonna be makin’ love to your mother.'
"And that’s what happened. He had a heart attack when he climaxed."
James died at the age of 63 in 1992, when Matthew was only in his early 20s.
Matthew's book is also believed to open up about an incident where he was arrested while naked as it goes into the details of his glitzy Hollywood career.
It was also delve into his childhood, which the actor admitted could be turbulent at times.
His father and mother married a total of three times, divorcing twice before eventually reconciling.
Matthew was born soon after the couple remarried for the third time.
Since his dad's passing, Matthew revealed he tried to set his mum with Hugh Grant's widowed father James Grant, 91.
Meanwhile, Matthew has been married to actress Camila Alves since 2012, and says their relationship is a lot less volatile than his parents' had been.
They share three children, Levi, 12, Vida, 10, and eight-year-old Livingston, together.
