Peter Andre calls ex stepson Harvey Price ‘the best’ after emotional documentary

Katie Price 's ex Peter Andre has made a heartwarming tribute to his ex-stepson Harvey in response to a BBC documentary about his life, which aired on Monday.

Katie Price: Harvey and Me described the daily struggles Katie faces in bringing up Harvey, who suffers from a genetic condition known as Prader-Willi Syndrome.

The one-off special followed Katie as she prepared for 18-year-old Harvey to move to a residential college in a bid to make him more independent.

Harvey needs twenty-four-seven care after he was born with a series of disabilities, including ADHD, autism, Prader-Willi Syndrome and septo-optic dysplasia, which causes blindness.

The documentary won praise from viewers, with Peter, 47, among those taking to social media to share their views.

As fans discussed their thoughts on the documentary, Peter wrote, "he's the best," alongside two heart emojis.

Peter and Katie met on I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! back in 2004.

They started dating after the culmination of the show when Harvey was two years old and went on to wed in 2005, sharing two children – Princess, 13, and Junior, 15.

They split in in 2009 and relations between the pair were initially frosty but they have improved in recent years.

Last year, in a heartwarming gesture, Peter offered to join Katie as she visited Harvey in the hospital when he was rushed to intensive care.

Harvey has demonstrated a passion for trains over the years.

During the emotional episode of Harvey and Me, the teenager beamed as he stood snapping pictures on his iPad on the platform of a railway station.

And after the show aired Network Rail offered Harvey the prospect of making one of his dreams come true.

A spokesman for Network Rail told the Metro: "We, Network Rail, would be happy to arrange for Harvey to make an announcement at one of the Network Rail managed stations when it is safe to do so."
