Simon Cowell rides jet ski in Barbados months after breaking back in accident

Simon Cowell appears to be well on his way to a full recovery after suffering a serious back injury in August.

The 61-year-old was pictured having fun on a jet ski as he soaked up the sun in Barbados with girlfriend Lauren Silverman and their six-year-old son Eric.

Grinning from ear-to-ear, Simon wore a pair of bright green swim shorts and a blue life jacket as he waved to fellow beachgoers.

The Britain's Got Talent boss completed his look with a pair of aviator sunglasses, and looked like he didn't have a care in the world as he indulged in some water sports.

He was later joined on the jet ski by his adorable son, who was also wearing swim shorts and a life jacket.

Meanwhile, Lauren stayed on the sand and looked sensational in a white bikini, which featured high-waisted bottoms.

The famous family usually spend Christmas and New Year in Barbados, and no doubt Simon couldn't wait to get there following the last few months.

The music mogul was forced to take time off work, which meant he missed out on this year's Britain's Got Talent live shows and final.

Fellow BGT judge Amanda Holden recently revealed that Simon will be back on our television screens soon.

Amanda, 49, appeared on This Morning to chat to Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford about her new single Home For Christmas but conversation quickly turned to Simon.

Eamonn, 60, quizzed Amanda on whether or not her pal Simon will be back on the show in the near future.

"Simon [Cowell] may make an appearance, he may not," she teased.

"I have spoken to him in the last three weeks. I've heard from the horse's mouth that he's well, fighting fit and can't wait to get started.

"He'll be back in January when we start the auditions for the new series," she added.

Simon was forced to miss the live shows of the latest series of Britain's Got Talent and was replaced by former show winner and Diversity leader Ashley Banjo.
