A Place in the Sun's Laura Hamilton blasted for 's***hole' homes as buyers deal her the ultimate snub | The Sun

A PLACE in the Sun's Laura Hamilton was blasted for showing what some critics dubbed "s***hole" homes during the latest episode of the Channel 4 show.

The popular Channel 4 programme, which sees budding expats search for their perfect home abroad, shocked viewers after last night’s episode.

The property host headed to Messinia Peninsula, Greece to meet with Martin and Sonia who have travelled around Greece for many years.

The couple told Laura that they were on a search to find their dream retirement home with a budget of £125k.

But with the average price of a property in Messinia being £175k, it was clear Laura had her work cut out for her.

The pair were searching for a two-bedroom house with two bathrooms, warning they have already sold their house in the UK so the "pressure is on".

After seeing a few properties Martin and Sonia's search was proving to be a bit of a disaster, resulting in them having to end the search abruptly.

Viewers at home also weren't happy with the properties Laura was showing as they took to Twitter to air their frustrations.

One viewers wrote: "I don't think a single person would want more information about the s*** holes Laura's shown them today #APlaceInTheSun."

Another viewer wrote: "Why is she going on about seeing other houses? I didn't see any… are they naturists."

Despite a tricky search, the couple finally put in an offer on the two-bedroom home in Petalili which was just under £124k.

However, the house needed a lot of work done so they put in an offer for £107,000 and it was refused, but after upping their bid to £115,000, they were successful in buying their dream home.

A Place in the Sun airs weekdays at 3pm on Channel 4 and All 4
