Ashley Cain thanks fans for Clap For Azaylia with emotional message and says he’ll watch videos ‘for rest of his life’

ASHLEY Cain has thanked fans for taking part in the Clap For Azaylia event last night with an emotional message.

People around the world took to their doorsteps yesterday to cheer on brave Azaylia who has a rare form of leukaemia.

Celebrities and non-famous people shared videos of their claps and sent them to Ashley and girlfriend Safiyya.

Taking to Instagram today, Ashley wrote: "Thank you to every single person who clapped last night for our beautiful baby, Azaylia Diamond Cain.

"I am so glad we shared such a powerful journey with you. Through it, we have gained such an incredible family with you all included.

"I still cannot believe how much love and energy Azaylia has created. It's beautiful, so beautiful! She now has brothers and sisters, aunties and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews all over the world."

Such was the outpouring of love, the account Ashley set up was filled to capacity with messages.

He continued: "Also, to anyone that couldn't send their videos in last night… We've had to increase the email inbox capacity as we did not expect how many people would send in their lovely videos. I will make sure I watch them all, even if it's one video a day for the rest of my life. It means so much to us!"

The family took their eight-month-old outside to see the special moment, with mum Safiyya saying: “Thank you for your love and support.”

Turning to the little girl, she said: “Our street was so loud wasn’t it? Everyone has come out all for you baby girl.”

Abbey Clancy and her husband Peter Crouch joined in the clap from their home, alongside three of their children.

The model shared a clip of them all cheering and shouting 'go champ' for the little one.

Mrs Hinch also took part and posted a picture, writing: “Azaylia. We are all behind you.”

Marnie Simpson and her partner Cody took to their doorstep with their son Rox.

Alongside the video, she wrote: “We all love you azaylia, I feel like we all know you from following your journey since the very beginning and not a single day goes by that we as a family don’t think of you and pray for a miracle, your so special and beautiful and a true warrior.

“You taught us all so much & learned us all to see what is truly important in life,Your the strongest, happiest and bravest little girl I have ever seen. I’ve always believed in angels and you azaylia are a true angel 👼🏻 we love you, we’re with you every step of the way, and tonight we clap for you and honour you for being the most amazing inspiration you are👏 #clapforazaylia ♥️”

Charlotte Dawson paid tribute as she clapped with her baby boy Noah.

She wrote: "Clapping tonight for the most bravest beautiful princess Azaylia… my heart is aching every day, I can’t stop thinking about her and @mrashleycain knowing you well and knowing your going through this is heartbreaking and your beautiful girlfriend @miss_safiyya_ 😢 your both the best parents in the world, so so so strong.. you should be so proud of yourselves.

"Your massive inspirations like your little angel azaylia. Being a new mum it’s been so hard, I’m holding onto Noah that much tighter. I pray for a miracle I really do, we’re all behind you Azaylia and family.. 🙏🏼😢💖 in my thoughts every second of the day. Xxx(sic)"

Stacey Solomon was unable to get home in time but showed her support with a touching post.

The event took place just hours after Azaylia was rushed back to the hospital for an emergency transfusion after she started crying blood.

Ashley later took his little one for a walk – telling fans it was the first time he has been able to do that.

Ashley and girlfriend Safiyya had only just raised over £1.5million to take Azaylia to Singapore in a last-ditch attempt to save her life – but were last week told the specialists in the country could not help.

She has now been given just days to live as more tumours have formed across her body and in her brain.

They have so far caused her loss of movement in half of her face and also to bruise spontaneously on her legs.
