Speaking on Loose Women on Monday, Benidorm star Crissy Rock spoke about the abuse she faced in her childhood at the hands of her grandfather.
Crissy detailed how the abuse began at the age of seven, when she lived with her grandparents.
The 60 year old star bravely revealed that the years of abuse she faced has left her with a phobia of baths, while the only place she felt safe in her youth, was on stage.
She said: “The hardest thing is, he’s your grandad and you love him and you don’t expect this person to turn into what he did.
“The hardest thing was, I have a phobia of a bath. I can’t get in the bath because to me it means getting pulled out of your bed by the scruff of your legs and thrown in the freezing cold bath.
“And water from a pan thrown all over you and scrubbed with a scrubbing brush to tell you how disgusting and filthy you are and ‘this is all your fault.’”

She continued to tell the panel: “Being a comic helped a lot because I never really had a home.
“I’d go home to my mums and she would tell me to go home [her grandad’s] and I didn’t want to be there so the home where I only ever felt safe was on the stage.”
