Can I watch Riverdale on Netflix?

Riverdale seasons one to five are available to stream on Netflix.

Those with a paid subscription can access all of the episodes on the platform.

Some episodes are also available on the CW website for free.

Riverdale Season 6 airs Tuesdays at 9pm ET on The CW.

Episodes air Wednesdays at 8pm GMT on Netflix outside of the US.

Is Riverdale getting a name change?

Season six of Riverdale will premiere on the evening of November 16, 2021.

The series is kicking off with a five-episode "special event" called Rivervale, only for a short period of time.

Rivervale will pay tribute to some of the writers' favorite horror genres.

Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa spoke to TV Line about the special event, saying: "Obviously we've flirted with horror and things like that in the past, but mostly it's been about crime and suspense and pulpy stuff.

"So when The CW asked us if we would be interested in doing a five-part event, I love those things and we've never gotten a chance to do them, so we said yes.

"Episode 1 is folk horror, Episode 2 is ghost stories, Episode 3 is 'the devil has come to Rivervale,' and on and on."

Season six will run through December and then take a long break, resuming in March of 2022.

Were there new characters in Riverdale?

Season 5 introduced a new character Tabitha Tate, played by Erinn Westbrook, according to Deadline.

She plays the granddaughter of Pop Tate, former owner of the town's diner.

Her character is reportedly at odds with Veronica.

Season six is expected to introduce Sabrina Spellman from the reboot of Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

Sabrina has her own show on The CW titled The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
