Coronation Street actor Harry Visinoni, who played Seb Franklin on the ITV soap until his character was killed earlier this year, recently left fans in awe of his incredible body transformation on social media.
He's not the only Coronation Street star to have gone through a body transformation though, with other actors sharing their weight loss and fitness journeys with fans on social media in recent years.
From dropping dress sizes to running and weight lifting training to tone their abs, we take a look at some of the cast's biggest body transformations and the secrets behind their amazing journeys.
Catherine Tyldesley – Eva Price
Before Catherine Tyldesley played barmaid Eva Price, one of Coronation Street's fan favourite characters from 2011 to 2018, she went through an incredible weight loss transformation.
The star, who was once a size 22, lost six stone and dropped five dress sizes, and regularly goes to the gym while maintaining a healthy diet.
Catherine has talked openly about her weight loss and healthy lifestyle, and also revealed that while working on Coronation Street, she stayed away from food on set and instead took food with her instead to eat.
Talking about her weight loss journey to The Mirror, she said: "When I look at pictures of myself from that time, it doesn't look like me. I was a different person.
"I actually keep a picture from when I was big on my phone to remind myself just how far I've come."
Catherine will be able to treat herself in the coming months though to some cravings, as she recently revealed she is pregnant with her second child.
Colson Smith – Craig Tinker
Colson Smith is known for playing Craig Tinker and has shared his amazing weight loss journey over the past year on social media and on TV talk shows.
During lockdown he decided to start running and began to lose weight, saying in a BBC interview: "When I'm sad I run, when I'm happy I run, if I'm anxious I run.
"I'm completely alone and isolated but I'm looking after myself when I'm running."
Over the past year he has lost an incredible 10 stone.
Talking on Good Morning Britain back in 2020, he revealed some of the secrets behind his weight loss, including working with a life coach, liaising with a gym in Manchester and sticking to a meal plan.
Alan Halsall – Tyrone Dobbs
Alan Halsall, who has played Tyrone Dobbs on the soap since 1998, showed off his amazing body transformation on social media in 2018.
The actor took to weight training to lose the inches and tone his body, sharing glimpses of his workouts on Instagram.
Posting a photo alongside Colson Smith, who had also been through an incredible body transformation of his own, Alan said in the caption: "Trying to work out whilst laughing at @colsonjsmith having fun & working hard."
He also revealed that he worked with a personal trainer four or five times a week to gain his impressive body, which he showed off on holiday snaps from Ibiza.
In his spare time to keep fit, he also goes hiking, plays badminton and cycles.
Nowadays, his Instagram is filled with snaps of him enjoying fun activities, including gold, surfing and hikes in picturesque settings.
Jennie McAlpine – Fiz Stape
Jennie McAlpine has played Fiz Stape since 2001, and in recent years has shown off her impressive weight loss that has seen the actress drop three dress sizes.
Her journey included exercising regularly and maintaining a healthy diet, rather than following a specific diet plan, telling The Mirror: "If you eat more of the good stuff and take more exercise then you’ll lose weight.”
She also said: "I don’t go in for all the diet plans and worrying yourself silly over how much you weigh.
“Ice cream is bad, salad is good – it’s not rocket science.”
It's clear Jennie is a lover of good food though, as she opened a restaurant in Manchester city centre with her husband Chris Farr.
The plush eatery – called Annie's – serves modern British cuisine.
Harry Visinoni – Seb Franklin
Harry Visinoni who played Seb Franklin in Coronation Street shared incredible transformation photos of his 12kg weight loss on social media recently.
The shirtless snaps were posted on his Instagram, showing off his toned abs, while posing in a pair of grey sweatpants.
Underneath the photos he posted: "I’m down 12kg now and feeling stronger than ever. It just goes to show that with dedication and hard work, you can make big changes to your life in not much time at all.
"Looking forward to continuing this journey of getting better and stronger."
Fans were left amazed by the former Coronation Street star's transformation, with one commenting: "You look amazing, beautiful guy!"
