Danniella Westbrook flashes diamond rock ending toy boy split rumours

Danniella Westbrook has ended any rumours about a split from her fiancé by showing off her huge engagement ring.

The former EastEnders star, who played Sam Mitchell on the soap, recently got engaged to her boyfriend David, 28, who is in prison.

The 48-year-old said he popped the questioned in prison during a visit, and has now been seen flashing her ring, as well as sharing a close up to Instagram.

She had also recently taken to Instagram to deny suggestions that her relationship had ended, insisting in a video that she and David were ‘well and truly still on.’

She added: ‘I’ve just popped on quickly to say that I have not split up from my fella.’

She then went on to show her followers a close-up view of the ring and said: ‘As you can see we are well and truly still on and life is good.’

The separation rumours had come after Danniella herself had posted: ‘Roses are flowers, pebbles are stones, here’s a big shout out to those on their own.

‘Think yourself lucky and try not to sob, look on the bright side you’re not a k**b!’

Danniella confirmed that her boyfriend was in prison last month, as she denied reports that she was dating businessman Terry Andrews.

She wrote on social media: ‘This is not my boyfriend. It was a working lunch. My boyfriend is in JAIL!!!’.

‘Never heard of this towie person in my life? And I was on a working lunch and went later that day to look at samples of fabrics and furniture for a possible promo venture which I’ve declined.’

Danniella originated the role of Sam back in 1990 when she first joined EastEnders at the age of 16, and she would go on to appear regularly in the show until 2000.

EastEnders then recast Sam in 2002, with Kim Medcalf taking over the role.

Kim’s iteration of the character would go on to feature in a number of huge storylines, particularly the murder of Den Watts, which saw her join forces with Chrissie Watts and Zoe Slater.

Sam was once again written out of EastEnders in 2005. Four years later, she returned to the Square, this time with Danniella reprising her role.

The character appeared until January 2010, before making a short comeback in September of the same year.

Danniella’s Sam would make one final appearance in 2016, as the mainstay returned to Walford for mum Peggy’s (Barbara Windsor) funeral.

Sam will recently made her long-awaited return to Albert Square, but this time with Kim Medcalf reprising the role.
