MP Kwasi Kwarteng joined Good Morning Britain presenters Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid to discuss the current climate surrounding Covid-19 cases and booster jabs. However, Kwarteng came under fire from viewers of the show, after not being able to give straight forward answers and many wondered whether he knew what he was talking about.

Frustrated with Kwarteng’s answers, many viewers took to Twitter to express their frustration over the interview.

Alex Potter posted: “@GMB why did kwasi just say over 50’s are eligible but the nhs booking site says i am ineligible yet!!!! I am 51 ?!Does he know what hes talking about???”

Twitter user @SuperHiroMikey added: “‘I think…’, ‘Pretty sure….’ Are not ways to start an answer to inspire confidence that you are in the know or know what you’re doing @KwasiKwarteng! Good work again @susannareid100 and @richardm56 @GMB #GMB.”

David McDonagh tweeted: ““I think” “I’m pretty sure” not exactly giving us confidence kwarteng #GMB.”
