EastEnders star left swollen and unable to open her eyes in hayfever attack

EastEnders’ Natalie Cassidy has been left swollen and unable to open her eyes in a brutal hay fever attack.

Natalie, who plays Sonia Fowler in the BBC One soap, shared a video on her Instagram stories showing the severity of the allergies she’s experiencing.

On her video, Natalie said: ‘Just such a fantastic evening in the garden, having a nice BBQ.’

She then turned the camera and showed followers her badly swollen face and eyes.

Natalie captioned the video: ‘I love summer. Not allergic to anything at all.’

Natalie has also posted a video on her main Instagram feed as she battled hay fever and admitted she could hardly breathe.

‘I’d like to get into a freshly-washed bed, which has been in the tumble dryer unfortunately, not on a line, which you should want – and I want to go to sleep and wake up in October’ she explained.

She wrote on the post: ‘Missed doing vids. Hope everyone good. For all the Hayfever sufferers out there. #Keepyoueyedropsinthefridge #imalreadyverynasaldonotneedthis

So many of Natalie’s followers flooded the comments with advice on coping with hay fever and well wishes, with many saying they’re also in the same boat.

Over in EastEnders, Natalie’s character Sonia is currently trying to build a relationship with her long-lost father Terry Cant (Brian Conley).
