Emmerdale fans are going to be left on a cliffhanger next week when one resident ends up unconscious. With the person in question having several enemies, will the incident be swept under the rug? Or, should they don’t wake up, perhaps the village will be rocked by a murder investigation… The last time the blue tape was out was for Graham Foster’s death, but who is the victim and who is the culprit?

Since Vanessa Woodfield’s (played by Michelle Hardwick) bowel cancer diagnosis, Charity Dingle’s (Emma Atkins) world has been turned upside down.

While she has tried to be the supportive fiancé, she has struggled to contain her emotions and worries.

When Vanessa left the Dales to live with her mother who was closer to the treatment centre, Charity tried to maintain a positive attitude, but it soon became apparent that the distance between them was causing issues for her.

In the end, Charity turned to another man for support and one thing led to another, igniting the downward spiral she still finds herself on.

Over the past couple of weeks, Charity has found herself shunned by the Dingle’s after a rendezvous with Al Chapman (Michael Wildman) who had been secretly dating Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb).

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Charity interfered in son Noah Tate’s (Jack Downham) Army medical which saw him banned from applying for any Armed Forces for life.

In a bid to try and make amends, Charity agreed to sell her half of the Woolpack to Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock), but next week she will conjure up a plan to try and win Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) back on side.

In scenes set to air next week, Charity breaks into the HOP office in an attempt to steal a client’s contract, hoping this is what she needs to get back into Chas’ good books.

But, Charity gets caught red-handed by Al and in an attempt to distract him, she picks up a trophy from the shelf and throws it at him.

Luckily Al catches the metal item but slips and falls to the floor, banging his head.

Official soap spoiler images show Al lying slumped, unconscious and Charity is left panicking – does she run or help him?

Should Al be confirmed as dead, there are several people who could find themselves being questioned by the police.

Debbie and Priya Sharma (Fiona Wade) both wanted revenge against Al after they found out he had been dating both of them at the same time.

Fans saw them steal thousands of pounds from Kim Tate’s (Claire King) enterprise and frame Al, which ended in him being outcast from the company.

Following Charity’s behaviour, Debbie left for Scotland, but she is set to return permanently in the upcoming months as the actress reprises her role after maternity leave.

Elsewhere in the soap, there are going to be wedding bells for Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) and Paul Ashdale (Reece Dinsdale).

Mandy called time on her relationship a few weeks ago when she found out her partner had been gambling again.

But following his kidnapping – which she is yet to learn he set up – Mandy realised she years for a life partner.

As a result, the two reconciled and their plans have been put back into action.

Will Mandy find out the truth before its too late?

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV.
