The Great British Bake Off fans were left devastated on Tuesday as Jürgen was eliminated from the show ahead of the final.
The show favourite, who had previously been awarded Star Baker three times in the competition, missed out on the final three spot to Chigs, Crystelle, and Giuseppe.
Speaking after his fate was revealed in the competition following the show's Patisserie Week where he came first in the Technical Challenge, Jürgen said: "I feel kind of okay, I kind of saw it coming…"
He added: "It's been incredible, I've really enjoyed being here, I've made friends for life and I will be with them in spirit."
Viewers were left devastated over the decision as they took to Twitter to argue that Jurgen was "robbed" and all four of the bakers should have gone through to the final.
One person said: "Justice for Jurgen! They should have bent the rules and put all four through! #bakeoff."
A different account put: "Every one of the contestants had off moments. Four should go through. Genuinely sad that they picked on Jurgen. He is fabulous. #GBBO."
Another follower commented: "This was the year to keep ALL FOUR BAKERS in the final. Losing Jurgen is just wrong. He is by far the most superior baker. EVER! #GBBO."
While a different fan added: "#GBBO can’t believe they didn’t take all four to the final. Best final four ever and Jurgen was so fab."
During the latest episode, which was Patisserie Week, Jürgen presented a "murder at the opera" opening bake which judge Prue Leith said it was "sensational" but Paul Hollywood admitted that he "liked it but didn't love it".
The Great British Bake Off continues on Tuesdays at 8pm on Channel 4.
