Aaron Francis is ready to pounce hours after Brad McClelland made his exit from the villa so Lucinda Strafford could stay and get to know other people.
The 24 year old, who recently delighted fans after going into a "friendship couple" with pal Kaz Kamwi, speaks to the blonde bombshell by the fire pit in tonight's episode of Love Island.
Not one to beat around the bush, Lucinda, 21, immediately asks the hunk what he thinks of new girl Andrea-Jane Bunker, otherwise known as AJ.
“What do you think of AJ?” she quizzes as he replies: “She’s a nice girl. Honestly, I’d prefer to get to know you.”
Clearly shocked, Lucinda responds: “Me? Really? God, I didn’t know that.”
Later in the Beach Hut, Aaron explains that they've had some chemistry between them since she entered the villa as they regularly make eye contact.
“I’m very attracted to Lucinda. She’s a beautiful girl," he says. "We have this little thing where even if we’re in a group, it’s like a lingering eye contact and little smile. I don’t think she has that with other people.”
While Lucinda was just left shocked by Brad sacrificing himself, she doesn't turn down the opportunity to make other connections as she later says in private: "Aaron is definitely someone I’d like to get to know more.
"We do have a good connection.”
Brad volunteered to leave the hit ITV dating show on Wednesday 14 July's segment, explaining: "I've had my time in here, I'm not going to be selfish."

Lucinda was left equally upset over the decision, as she admitted she was feeling "sick", adding: "Brad, you can't go. Are you sure?"
The couple questioned whether they should leave together as Lucinda insisted that she wouldn't "fancy" anyone like him but also argued that their romance had only been one week.
After Brad broke down in tears, Lucinda said that she felt "numb" and that the brutal dumping twist was "completely nuts".

Brad, who recently said he wants to carry on with Lucinda after the programme, then told the rest of the Islanders their decision, announcing to the group: "Lucinda is going to be staying and I'm going."
Speaking after his exit, Brad said: "Obviously I am gutted leaving the villa, I've been here from the start. Obviously, Lucinda blew me away, her journey in here has been short. I would feel selfish taking that from her.
"If she finds someone, then I'm happy for her, if she doesn't… she knows where I am!"
