Season six of Netflix’s hit fantasy series Lucifer is entering its final stages of filming, and showrunner Ildy Modrovich has been keeping fans updated throughout the process. Her latest Instagram post with leading man Tom Ellis may have provided a subtle hint to some of the events of the show’s highly anticipated final season.
A new behind the scenes snap on Lucifer season six may be hinting towards the devil’s return to hell in season six.
After confessing his love to Chloe Decker (played by Lauren German) in season four, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) banished himself to his throne to keep evil at bay.
Lucifer was able to pay Chloe a temporary visit on Earth in season five, but still expected to return to the underworld before too long.
However, his vacation with Chloe was unexpectedly extended when he caught wind of his twin brother Michael’s schemes to destroy his life from inside out.
With the arrival of his father, God (Dennis Haysbert) in season five’s gripping midseason finale, fans are speculating Lucifer’s stint as the ruler of hell might be over.
On the other hand, his redemption may not be so close at hand, and Lucifer may once again find himself presiding over his legion of demons and tortured souls by the end of the next instalment.
Meanwhile, showrunner Ildy Modrovich’s new snap of Tom Ellis on the set of season six has once again sparked some outlandish theories for the events of season six.
Her new post featured Ellis discussing a scene with one of the directors for the series.

Some observant fans were quick to notice the star’s choice of threads, a black sweatshirt which seemed to be emblazoned with the phrase ‘Make Hell Great Again’.
In the caption for the post, Modrovich urged her followers not to take Ellis’ fashion statement too literally.
She wrote: “Just a devil and his director… making Hell great again.
“(No, that’s not a clue… that’s what’s on Tom’s sweatshirt.)”

Despite her warning, some of the show’s more eager fans promptly ignored the caption and set about speculating what this could mean for Lucifer’s final season.
One excited commenter replied: “HE’S NOT GOING BACK TO HELL RIGHT???”
While another viewer assumed: “So they are shooting in hell!”
A third sceptical fan challenged Modrovich and said: “It’s not a clue… or is it???”
Much of the fanbase is expecting Lucifer and Chloe to eventually pay the Silver City a visit, but the devil may need to make one last pit stop in his gloomier place of residence.
However, as one more fan hit back: “Why is it when Ildy says ‘no it’s not a clue, it’s what’s on Tom sweatshirt ‘ everyone jumps to ‘their filming in Hell’?”
Still, the latest update from the set of Lucifer proves that no detail is too small to escape the prying eyes of the show’s faithful fandom.
