Wandavision is a brand new limited series for Disney+ set within Marvel’s Cinematic Universe featuring Avengers stars Elisabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany. The series’ first full-length trailer has teased magic, illusions and superhero action all to come next month.
The first trailer for Marvel’s upcoming series Wandavision has finally been released and fans have been reacting positively to the bizarre new footage.
Marvel’s first Phase Four series in the MCU features Scarlet Witch (played by Elisabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) following the events of Avengers: Endgame.
Although Scarlet Witch survived Thanos’ (Josh Brolin) snap, Vision was killed when the Mad Titan extracted the powerful Mind Stone from his head.
However, Vision has somehow made his comeback to the MCU in a series of illusions and alternate realities crafted by the powerful Scarlet Witch.
Taking a break from Marvel’s signature superhero action, Wandavision takes a more surreal approach and will feature the unconventional couple trapped in a series of sitcom pastiches.
The new trailer kicks off with a black-and-white dinner scene inspired by classic shows like I Love Lucy, before things take a darker turn.
The series will consist of six episodes and is set to kick off Marvel’s Phase Four in December, following the delays of upcoming blockbusters Black Widow and Eternals.
Alongside series leads Olsen and Bettany, the two heroes are joined by Kathryn Hahn, Debra Jo Rupp and Fred Melamed as Scarlet Witch and Vision’s nosy neighbours.

Also along for the ride are Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, who was previously seen in MCU origin film Captain Marvel.
While not seen in the new trailer, Kat Dennings is set to reprise her role as Darcy from the first two Thor films, and Randall Park returns as his Ant-Man and the Wasp FBI agent Jimmy Woo.
The new series is created by Jac Schaeffer, who also wrote the screenplay for upcoming sequel Black Widow, starring Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh.
Set to include plenty of connections to Marvel’s sprawling live-action universe, Wandavision will undoubtedly satisfy comic book fans’ appetites after enduring a lengthy hiatus to the franchise’s regular film releases.
The new trailer follows the news that previously delayed Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has resumed filming in Atlanta, Georgia.
Following Wandavision’s release, Marvel fans still have Loki (starring Tom Hiddleston), What If…? and Hawkeye to look forward to in 2021.
Wandavision will premiere in December 2020 on Disney+.
