Peter Andre and wife Emily ‘planning’ to move 9,000 miles away to Australia after fears over his parent’s health

PETER Andre and his wife Emily could be set to relocate to Australia to be closer to his parents.

The singer has struggled during the pandemic with being unable to see mum Thea, 85, and dad Savvas, 88, and learning that her “health is declining".

Emily has now revealed that the couple – who are parents to Amelia and Theo – have talked about a move Down Under.

She told us: “It’s a tough one. It’s hard for him having his family there.

“At the same time we have kids who are at school here, my work is here, a lot of his work is here. It’s something we have talked about, we haven’t sort of planned anything.

“It’s about trying to find that balance with what’s going on with his family and trying to do the best thing for our family here.”

Emily, who is releasing her second book Growing Up For Boys,  added: “It’s something we might have to think about in the future.”

In the meantime the family are hoping to visit all together this year, with Emily saying: “I haven’t been to Australia since I was pregnant with Millie, that was the last time.

“It’s been a long time, his parents would come here or go to Cyprus to spend time with them, obviously before Covid. We are hoping to plan a trip for the whole family this year.”

Earlier this year Pete opened up about his mum’s health, saying: "The only thing that worries me about turning another year older is that my parents are getting older and my mum's health is really declining, which makes me sad.”

Peter, who was born in London, moved there when he was six and grew up on the Gold Coast, only returning to the UK when his music career took off.

The singer, who co-parents Princess, 14, and Junior, 16, with his ex Katie Price, previously wrote in new magazine: "Obviously my reason is because my mum and dad are there – but my children and family are here, so it's not an easy thing.

"My kids might have kids, and they might be based in the UK, and these are all things I need to weigh up as I want to be where my family are."
