Peter wrote about his views in his latest column Planet Pete in New! magazine.
The star wrote how he was "excited" for the season but is "scrolling through his phone" when watching as he feels it is a "letdown".
He said: "I was so excited for Love Island to start, but I think it's been such a let-down so far.
"At the time of writing this, it's only just started, so I might feel differently in a few days."
Peter went on to explain he wanted to give the show time to see if he could start liking the cast.
He continued: "I am going to give it time, but it feels like a bit of an anticlimax – it looks forced and doesn't have the same vibe.
"It's the first time I've watched it where I've been scrolling through my phone, but I'm sure as I get to know the contestants I'll fall in love with them and change my views."
It comes strict parent Pete revealed he wouldn't let his 14-year-old daughter Princess, who he shares with Katie Price, watch Love Island.
Pete said to the publication Woman: "I love them watching the show, but I told them 'you are not going on it'.

"I don't allow Princess to watch the show, but she's just turned 14 so maybe I'll change my mind."

"And I get that because he and Princess are the only children to ever have been born as a result of the jungle."
