New ITV2 dating series Singletown hit screens on Monday night, but viewers were completely divided with their reactions to episode one.
The show sees five couples agree to split up, before being thrown into single life again as they try the dating game.
As the contestants were introduced to viewers on Monday, they were soon split into two groups before residing in a swanky London apartment.
It wasn't long before hosts Joel Dommett and Emily Atack told each group that their exes were literally living next door, before also dropping the news they would be mingling with other singles.
In episode one, there was plenty of drama as the cast realised their ex partners could be getting up to all sorts with other boys and girls.
As the first episode came to an end, one moment saw Claudia stumble across her ex Rob chatting up a girl.
Rob was getting to know someone new, and hadn't initially seen his ex outside the venue – until she burst into tears.
Viewers were left divided over the format of the show, as some likened it to Love Island and the second villa Casa Amor.
Others weren't so keen on seeing people's emotions being played on for a TV show, while plenty more fans liked the new dating show.
One fan commented: "This house warming party is a poor man's Casa Amor!"
Another disagreed: "Quite enjoyed #Singletown. Miles better than Love Island."
A third tweeted: "Making me feel uneasy watching #Singletown Really pushing some of the ‘contestants’ feelings to the limit, not nice to watch."
Meanwhile, a fourth fan commented: "Hmmm I thought the exes wouldn't be allowed to see each other? Seems a flaw."
Singletown airs weeknights at 9pm on ITV2.
