Spice Girl Mel B blames her ‘bubble butt’ for rumbling her identity as Seahorse on The Masked Singer

SPICE Girl Mel B reckons TV viewers worked out who she was on The Masked Singer because of her bottom.

The 45-year-old — concealed in a Seahorse costume — feared her Yorkshire accent may reveal her identity.

But she believes the penny dropped thanks to her distinctive rear.

She said: “My bubble butt gave it away. And the way that I was moving gave it away too.

“I mean, I move like how I move. So when the nerves hit, even though you’re not meant to move like yourself, you do.

“It’s like character acting, like method acting.”

Chatty Mel also said she was desperate to talk backstage during her time on the ITV show — but was ticked off by bosses.

She said: “I kept being told to be quiet. One of the hardest things was the main producer that greets you on stage and tells you where to go was part of our Spice Girls tour.

“I was looking at him thinking he’s absolutely no idea and I wanted to go, ‘Hey, how are you? How’s the family? How’s the kids?’ But you can’t!”

Security is so tight on the show that contestants have to wear balaclavas backstage and must ask to be taken to the toilet.

Mel added: “You have to wear a balaclava then a massive visor, then a hoodie that says, ‘Do not speak to me’.

"You have to wear all black and wear gloves so no part of your skin is ever on show and this is just for a rehearsal!

“No one can talk, you have your designated person assigned to you and if you want some water or need to go to the bathroom you have to whisper to your person that’s stood beside you. It’s weird."

Mel was in touch with bandmates Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell as her performance of Kylie’s Can’t Get You Out Of My Head aired last Saturday.

She said: “I had Emma going, ‘I knew it was you’ and Geri was like ‘You kept that a secret’.”

Mel hopes they can tour this year, marking the band’s 25th anniversary. She said: “As soon as the rules allow it we’ll do it.”
