The discovery of Pat Phelan’s ashes certainly came as a shock to Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) in Coronation Street.
Wanting to show George (Tony Maudsley) how grateful he is for the recent support, Todd chose to clean out the storeroom, but was stunned to discover an urn with evil Phelan’s ashes.
After George explained he never found the right time to tell Eileen (Sue Cleaver) about the ashes, Todd took it upon himself to dispose of them.
However, things went from bad to worse when Todd tripped over and sent the ashes flying!
As Eileen approached, Todd spun a story and said they’re the ashes of a lonely old lady.
Now, with Eileen wanting to give Patsy Freeman a send-off, she soon discovers who the ashes really belong to.
Eileen reads the eulogy written for Patsy.
Feeling terrible, George reveals the awful truth.
Shocked after discovering the news, Eileen hurries out and orders Todd to stay out of her sight.
After apologising, George asks Eileen how she’d like him to dispose of the ashes and later, he confirms he’s done as she asked, but where has George put Phelan’s ashes?
A respectful send off? For a serial killer? Probably not…
