Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) was left incredibly upset in EastEnders tonight (September 25), as Martin Fowler (James Bye) told her that he’s moved on, before professing his love for Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton).
Stacey and Martin had a catch-up in tonight’s episode, but things soon became heated when they discussed their significant others.
Martin quizzed her on Jerome — particularly in regards to how she was able to move on so quickly in the wake of their relationship ending — but when Stacey starting insulting him, the former fruit-and-veg stall holder fought back.
Yes, he finally revealed the extreme lengths that he was forced to go to in order to protect her — confirming that Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) was threatening both he and his loved ones.
This revelation resulted in Stacey realising that Martin never cheated on her with Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy), like he’s led her to believe.
She was taken aback, that’s for sure, and Martin left her upset when he revealed that he’s moved on, and is incredibly happy with Ruby.
Martin wasted little time in tracking down his girlfriend, and — after revealing that he’s very much in love with her, — they decided to take a romantic trip away.
Martin and Ruby locked lips, and Stacey watched from afar — and appeared to be upset.
Is this really the end of Martin and Stacey?
EastEnders continues Monday September 28 at 8:05pm on BBC One.
