Stranger Things' Noah Schnapp promises 'very sad' season 3 finale

The countdown to Stranger Things season 3 is officially on with only two days to go – and actor Noah Schnapp has warned it’s going to be an emotional one.

Actor Noah, who plays the complicated Will Byers on the supernatural series, took to his Instagram stories to warn fans that the final episode is going to be ‘very sad’.

Talking to PA, he warned: ‘It’s very sad, the ending is a lot to handle so be prepared.’

This isn’t the first time he’s used that word to describe it either, admitting on US talk show Extra he ‘cried at the end’ and summing up the entire season to Jimmy Fallon as just ‘sad’.

Now, after watching it ourselves we can assure you he’s 100% telling the truth, though absolutely no spoilers from us.

Basically, we’re going to have our hearts ripped out folks. So get ready.

In the new season, a teenage Will is seen struggling to grow up as his friends’ tastes in what’s fun moves from playing D&D to pondering about girls.

The kids aren’t kids anymore, and no one is finding that adjustment harder than will.

Fresh from being kidnapped and dealing with a Mind Flayer, girls is literally the furthest thing from his mind.

Dealing with his own issues is a whole other battle as well, with his time being possessed weighing heavily on his mind and his connection to the supernatural just getting stronger.

There could be more to it though – we’ll just have to wait and see what that means for everyone.

Whatever happens, we can promise you that season three is going to be a complete game changer.

Stranger Things 3 launches this Thursday, 4 July on Netflix.
