He most notably played Herb Tarlek on the television sitcom WKRP.

Who was WKRP star Frank Bonner?

Frank Bonner is an American actor and television director best known for playing sales manager Herb on WKRP in Cincinnati.

Herb was the radio station sales manager who could "never land the big account."

Frank starred on WKRP in Cincinnati from 1978 to 1982, before reprising his role a decade later for The New WKRP in CIncinnati.

The sequel series ran on CBS from 1991 to 1993.

How did he die?

Bonner died as a result of complications from Lewy body dementia reported TMZ.

He was reportedly surrounded by his family and loved ones at the time of his death.

Frank made headlines in October 1979 when he was hospitalized following a parachute accident.

He fell 20 ft after his ascendency chute collapsed in a freak wind. He was connected to a four-wheel drive vehicle over a dry lake bed near Los Angeles.
