‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ Soundtrack Is Top Selling Vinyl Album Of 2019 So Far

The soundtrack for Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody tops the list of most sold vinyl albums this year in Nielsen‘s new mid-year report.

Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack has sold 61,000 copies so far in 2019. The band’s Greatest Hits package became the second-biggest selling vinyl set of the year with 49,000 copies.

The report cites mixed trends in overall music album sales and music album sales.

While there was a 18.8 percent drop in music album sales since last year, vinyl album sales recorded 9.6 percent growth, having sold 7.72 million copies.

1. Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody (Soundtrack) (61,000 copies sold)

2. Queen, Greatest Hits (49,000 copies sold)

3. Billie Eilish, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? (47,000 copies sold)

4. Soundtrack, Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Mix Vol. 1 (33,000 copies sold)

5. The Beatles, Abbey Road (33,000 copies sold)

6. Pink Floyd, The Dark Side of the Moon (32,000 copies sold)

7. Bob Marley & The Wailers, Legend (30,000 copies sold)

8. Fleetwood Mac, Rumours (29,000 copies sold)

9. Michael Jackson, Thriller (29,000 copies sold)

10. Billie Eilish, Don’t Smile at Me (28,000 copies sold)
