It’s been seven months since Jessica Hayes tragically miscarried her son, Teddy and, in an exclusive interview with new! magazine, the reality star has now confirmed her split from fiancé Dan Lawry.
Although Jess admitted she feels “heartbroken” about their breakup, which came as “a bit of a shock,” she’s revealed she’s in no rush to move on romantically. Instead, Jess is determined to “live in the moment” and “focus on Presley.”
She told us: “It’s far too early to consider going on dates with other people. I’m just focusing on Presley. There’s nothing like that [romance] on my mind. I’m just trying to live in the moment and see where it takes me. Hopefully it’s just good stuff now. I can’t deal with any more heartbreak, honestly!”
Jess also opened up about how everything has been with her two year old son since her miscarriage and the break up.
“He doesn’t really understand what’s going on. I’m just trying to keep it as normal as possible,” she said, adding that she “can’t fault” Dan who is “an amazing dad.”
The Love Island winner emphasised that Presley has been “a major part” of what’s kept her strong over the last few months.
“You can’t be miserable and down, you’ve just got to carry on,” Jess said. “It’s always going to be hard,” she added while reflecting on the loss of Teddy.

The 28 year old explained that when Presley was younger he “didn’t get” what had happened or why his little brother wasn’t around.
“Now, I feel like he knows,” said Jess. “I’ve got a little tattoo and a necklace, and he points to the T on my necklace or my angel tattoo and goes, “Teddy up” and does the little sad face. It’s so mad how he’s picked up on it. But it’s nice now he knows, so I can share more with him.”
Despite the heartbreaking loss of Teddy and her split from Dan, Jess is determined to move forward positively and still has high hopes of having a big family in the future.

“Regardless of what happened, I’m so clear about what I want in life. I want my forever home. I’ve always said I want three children and that won’t change for me because it’s my dream.”
Although Jess hasn’t ruled out a reconciliation with Dan in the future she has said that “so much would need to change.”
She added: “I’ll always love Dan as Presley’s dad. Of course I’ll never rule it out, but it won’t work right now.”
