The Duchess of Cambridge appeared to make a subtle tribute to the late Princess Diana with her choice of dress at Tuesday night's James Bond premiere.
Kate, 39, looked stunning as she attended the premiere of No Time To Die at the Royal Albert Hall wearing a glittering gold gown by Jenny Packham, and fans couldn’t help but compare it to the dress her late mother-in-law wore at the 1985 premiere of A View To A Kill.
The two gowns looked alike, with Diana wearing a metallic gown by Bruce Oldfield with a neckline similar to that of the dress Kate was wearing.
The mum-of-three attended the premiere with her husband, the Duke of Cambridge, as well as his father Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
Stars of the film were also in attendance, including Bond himself Daniel Craig, Naomie Harris, Léa Seydoux, Ana de Armas, Lashana Lynch, Rami Malek and Ben Whishaw.
Taking to Twitter, royal fans noted the comparisons between the two gowns.
One wrote: “Kate’s dress reminds me of the similar dress Diana wore.”
Another added: “Gosh, that’s a Diana dress! Only Kate could carry that forward.”
This isn’t the first time Kate has paid tribute to Princess Diana with her style.
The royal rocked a red dress with a lace white collar to introduce Prince Louis to the world in 2018, which was incredibly similar to the outfit Princess Diana wore just hours after giving birth to Prince Harry in 1983.
Kate has also often opted for polka dot style dresses which were a favourite with Diana.
The Duchess wore a blue polka dot Prada gown in 2018 for Prince Charles’ 70th birthday portraits which was very similar to a dress Diana chose to wear when she was photographed at home in 1985.
And Kate isn’t the only member of the royal family to make a nod to Diana with their fashion choices.
Last week Prince Harry’s wife Meghan Markle chose to channel Diana with one of her accessories.

The couple, who recently welcomed their second child together, attended the Global Citizen Live concert in New York at the weekend and Meghan was photographed carrying a Dior Lady D-Lite bag, which was also a favourite of the late royal’s.
Diana, who passed away on 1997 following a car accident, loved the bag so much that she even opted to have it in a few different colours.
