Tom Parker’s wife Kelsey has spoken about what a big support The Wanted will be in raising her and her late husband's young children Aurelia, two, and Bodhi, one.
Tom tragically passed away on 30 March aged 33after being diagnosed with a brain tumour just 18 months before.
The late singer was undeniably close with his fellow bandmates Max George, 33, Siva Kaneswaran, also 33, Nathan Sykes, 29, and Jay McGuiness, 31, asthe foursome carried his coffin at his heartbreaking funeral last month.
Now Kelsey has revealed that they’ll play a huge part in Aurelia and Bodhi’s lives as they grow up.
“They’re a massive part of our lives and always have been. They are role models for the kids too, so I want them to come over and have their input in their lives and to tell them stories about their dad,” she told The Sun.
“They know stories I don’t know. Bodhi’s going to want to know the stories. He is going to ask, ‘What did my dad get up to on the tour bus?’ and he’ll be able to ask them when he’s older. They will always be there for us.”
Kelsey also revealed that Jay stayed at the family’s home in the days running up to Tom’s passing, helping her with the kids as she went to visit her husband at the hospice.

Jay took the longest of Tom’s bandmates tobreak his silence after his untimely passing, and branded the time he spent with the late star as “an honour”.
He shared a black and white picture of Tom and heartbreakingly wrote: “I miss you so much”.
The post read: “Tom, I miss you so much. I don’t know where you are now, but I am so honoured we got to spend time together on earth. An honour.
“I keep reminding myself to be grateful for that time, and I really really am. I am.
“You knew how to live life, fearlessly and with heart. You were so reassuring to be around.”
Jay went on: “What a man. I can’t believe that it’s all memories now, every single memory now is priceless. Life is a gift and you made use of yours in the most powerful ways, you made your dreams come true, you found the love of your life, you brought two beautiful humans down to earth, you sang so so powerfully and beautifully and that will never die.”
In light of Tom’s death,The Wanted have released a moving acoustic version of their hit song Gold Forever– a song which was played at Tom’s funeral.
The boyband, Island Records and the song's writers and producers will donate all proceeds from the re-release toThe Brain Tumour Charity.
