Ulrika Jonsson has paid a sweet tribute to her dog Fella following his passing back in March.

In a post shared to her Instagram on Wednesday evening, the 53 year old showed off her new "EF Fella" arm tattoo – the EF of which stood for The Edward Foundation, the company she had fostered the pooch from.

The former Gladiators host wrote: "A wee tribute to my boy, Fella, who I lost in March.

"Initially fostered by me from the amazing @theedwardfoundation but I knew I couldn't let him go, he was a keeper. A 9 yr old boy who'd had a pretty rough life and was riddled with health issues," she added.

Ulrika continued: "But I hope we gave him the best last 1 1/2yrs of his life (with huge thanks to Clare HB at the end) despite his dementia and general bonkersness like eating soil and barking at walls…

"What a handsome boy you were, Fell. My God, we loved you."

Ulrika added that she had a few other inkings done in the same sitting, but she would reveal them in due course.

The television personality added the hashtags: "#ef #edwardfoundation #adoptdontshop."

This comes after Ulrika posed completely naked in just a pair of wellies in her garden in a bid to raise funds for a men's bereavement charity.

She declared, "it's never unmanly to talk", as she smiled at the camera with a bright orange flower in her hair while standing strategically to cover her modesty.

"To mark us becoming 150k strong on this page, I'm baring myself for @strongmenorguk," the TV personality captioned her post.

In a poignant final statement, Ulrika then stated: "It's never unmanly to talk."
