Yazmin Oukhellou sent vile abuse claiming she ‘got over Jake’s death too quickly’

Yazmin Oukhellou has opened up about the trolling she received after people accused the reality TV star of getting over her ex Jake McLean’s death “too quickly”.

Earlier this year, Yazmin, 28, and Jake, 33, were involved in a devastating car accident in Turkey that killed Jake and left Yazmin with life-changing injuries.

In a bid to survive the ordeal, the TOWIE star said she had to “snap her arm” in a bid to free herself and get help for her and Jake.

Nearly four months on from the tragic accident, Yazmin is trying to come to terms with the loss of Jake as she attempts to resume her normal life.

However, she has since received criticism for trying to move forward – something which Yazmin labelled as “extremely hard”.

“Experiencing that level of scrutiny has been extremely hard,” she told The Sun. “I can’t lie and say those comments don’t affect me, because they really do.”

“If I have dinner out with friends, these people will post saying: ‘Oh, she’s got over it quick.’ I block those people straightaway, but they’re the ones I’ll focus on for the rest of the day and beyond. When I read those comments, I feel sick.”

Yazmin went on to say that “there’s not a day where I don’t think about the crash”.

She added that while she may smile in some photographs shared on social media, it doesn’t necessarily mean she’s happy on the inside.

“None of them know what is going on in my life. I’m torn apart with grief for Jake. It affects me every minute of the day. Just because I have a meal in a restaurant or travel abroad to work on my healing process, doesn’t change that,” she went on.

Yazmin’s comments come after the 28 year old shared earlier this month that she’s partaking in weekly therapy to help her through this difficult time of her life.

She shared a candid post on World Mental Health Day earlier this month where she credited her therapist for changing her life.

Part of the Instagram caption read: “On my worst days you simply won’t hear from me at all. But World Mental Health Day has got me thinking that maybe I should be more real on here and share those times too which is why I have shared this today.”

Yazmin went on: “I have therapy once a week now with an amazing lady called Sandra.

"She has truly changed my life. I’m so proud of how far I’ve come and you all should be too.

“If your going through something awful right now just know you are loved and it won’t last forever."
