Avengers: Endgame boasted a three-hour runtime and one of the largest casts to date. The film has been heralded by fans and has broken almost every box office record. Not all fans, however, are as die-hard as others and maybe haven’t gotten around to going to the cinema yet.
Is Avengers: Endgame still playing in cinemas?
Good news for fans who have been busy until now, Avengers: Endgame is still playing in cinemas.
The fourth instalment in the Infinity Saga will run in UK cinemas until June 20, 2019 – giving it an eight-week cinematic run.
In America, Avengers: Endgame leaves cinemas on Thursday, June 13, 2019, after six weeks in theatres.
Within a few days of its opening, Avengers Endgame beat the lifetime gross of other massive blockbusters.
AVENGERS ENDGAME: THIS CAPTAIN AMERICA TWIST COULD MEAN [SPOILER]
These include Marvel hits like Captain America: Civil War and Captain Marvel.
Avengers: Endgame surpassed the one billion dollar mark after only five days.
The previous record holder was Avengers: Infinity War, which took 11 days to pass the same amount.
One record Endgame has yet to topple is Avatar, which is the highest grossing movie of all time.

This means the movie has approximately two months at the box office to make up the difference and beat Avatar.
Once the movie is out of cinemas, there is only a short wait until the movie is out on DVD.
According to Bill Hunt, an American media analyst: “Retail sources tell me the street date for Avengers Endgame on Blu-ray and 4K is moving up a week (from 8/20) to 8/13.”
The website dvdreleasedates.com lists August 2019 as its approximate date.

Both Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com offer the movie for pre-order but without a delivery date confirmed.
The plot Avengers: Endgame reads: “A genocidal maniac known as Thanos has acquired a magical gauntlet lending him unlimited power and used it to destroy half of the galactic population with a snap of his fingers.
“Half of the world’s superheroes are dead, and it’s now up to those who remain to bring the fight back to Thanos and hopefully reverse the destruction he’s brought to the universe.
“Fortunately for the world, the original Avengers are all still alive, and Captain America gathers them together with some newer friends in a bold effort to stop Thanos.”
Avengers: Endgame is now playing in cinemas.
