Deftones Forced to Put Tour Plans on Delay for Second Year

The Chino Moreno-fronted band, which originally planned to kick off its first full U.S. summer tour since 2017 in Portland, Oregon in July 2020, explain that it was a decision they felt necessary.

AceShowbiz -Rockers the Deftones have decided to delay their tour plans for a second time in an effort to ensure they can “make every date with confidence.”

The band, fronted by Chino Moreno, had originally planned to kick off its first full U.S. summer tour since 2017 in Portland, Oregon in July 2020, but the COVID crisis forced the group to postpone the North American trek until this year (2021).

In an additional statement they posted on Instagram, the band noted, “Thank you all for your patience and understanding. If you bought tickets for one of the 2021 shows and cannot make the rescheduled show, you will receive an email directly allowing you to request a refund.”

“For more details, visit Livenation.com/refund (link in bio). Please hold on to existing tickets, as they will be honored for the 2022 dates,” they continued in the caption of the post. “Tickets for the added dates (Las Vegas, Cincinnati, Nashville) go on sale Friday, 7/16 @ 10AM local at Deftones.com.”

The Deftones will be supported by Gojira when they finally get to perform live for fans.
